First and most famous was Sir John Tenniel (1820–1914), who illustrated the first edition of Alice in Wonderland in 1865. Nearly as famous are Arthur Rackham (1867–1939) and Peter Newell (1862-1924), who both retained a charming Victorian flavor in their illustrations. In 1951, Alice received the distinctive Walt Disney look in the animated film, Alice in Wonderland. (0764163337) Hardcover / 28 Pages / 10 1/4 x 11 3/4 / 2010 | ||
